Yaelokre OC Maker

Yaelokre's music is told through a small troupe of masked storytellers in a hand-drawn, folk-tale world. The fandom makes its own masked characters in the same spirit: a child-like performer, a mask with one clear emotion, and clothes that look sewn by hand.

The project's masks are larger and more detailed than anything here. This maker has a simple half mask over the eyes, in the Glasses tab. Use it to plan the mask color, the costume and the palette of your storyteller.

The mask comes first

Decide what the mask expresses before anything else: joy, mischief, sorrow, calm. Then build the face under it to match or to contradict it. Happy closed eyes with a Smile under a bright mask is a cheerful performer. A Flat mouth under the same mask tells a different story. Set the mask color with the Mask color control.

Folk costume and storybook colors

The look is medieval and handmade, with warm earthy colors.

• Clothes: the Tunic with its belt, Leggings and Boots. Add a Cape or Scarf for a traveling performer.
• Colors: ochre, rust, moss green, cream and brown. One brighter color for the mask.
• Hair: Curly fringe, Braids and Short crop all suit the hand-drawn feel.
• Background: a warm Gradient or Solid cream reads like an old page.

Give them a role in the troupe

Storytellers work as a group, and each member has a part to play: the one who leads the song, the one who drums, the trickster, the quiet one who watches. Pick a role and an instrument or prop for your character. A name, a role and a mask are enough to write them into a song of their own.
