How caricature works

A cartoon of a person is not a copy. It keeps the two or three features people notice and drops the rest.

Find your signature feature. Curly hair, strong brows, glasses, freckles, a wide grin. Ask a friend if you are not sure.
Push it slightly. If you have thick brows, choose Thick. If your hair is big, choose the biggest shape.
Keep everything else plain. A simple outfit and background let the feature stand out.

Hair is half the likeness

People are recognized from a distance by hair outline, so spend the most time on Bangs and Hair. Match length first, then texture, then color. If your exact style is not there, choose the closest silhouette. A slightly wrong color with the right shape still looks like you. The right color with the wrong shape does not.
