Tiefling Picrew Maker: Your original character

Tiefling Picrew Maker

Horns, a tail, fangs and skin in red, purple or blue. Build a tiefling for your next campaign.

Skin tone

Tieflings are among the most drawn characters in tabletop fantasy, and the reason is visual. Horns, a tail and vivid skin make every tiefling look different from the next, and the design says "this person has a story" before a word is spoken.

This maker covers the essentials: Horns, a Demon tail, Fang, pointed ears and any skin color. It opens on Skin and ears, because skin color is the first decision.

Skin, eyes and horns

These three set a tiefling apart from every other ancestry.

  • Skin: any human tone, or shades of red. Purple, blue and grey are popular at many tables. The swatches include red, blue and lilac, and the picker gives any other shade.
  • Eyes: often described as solid colors such as gold, silver, red, white or black. Sharp eyes in a bright gold or red get closest.
  • Horns: under Headwear. The Accessory color sets them. Bone, black and a darker shade of the skin all work.
  • Tail: the Demon tail, with its pointed tip.

Dress against the stereotype

The world tends to distrust tieflings on sight, and good tiefling characters play with that. A tiefling in a neat Blazer and tie, or a cheerful one in a bright Dress with a Flower, is more interesting than one in black leather. Decide whether your character hides their heritage, flaunts it or has stopped caring.

Classes that suit the look

Warlocks, bards and sorcerers are the classic choices, since charisma comes naturally to them. A Choker and dark formal wear suits a warlock. A Jester hat or Bow tie suits a bard. A tiefling paladin in white and gold with a Cape makes a strong contrast. For the rest of the party, see the DnD maker.
