OC Maker Full Body

A portrait tells you what a character looks like. A full body picture tells you who they are: how they dress, what they carry, whether they are built for a library or a rooftop chase. This maker draws the whole figure on one canvas so the design is complete.

It opens on the Top tab. Work downward through Bottom and Shoes, then add wings, a cape or a tail if the character needs them.

What a full body OC shows that a portrait cannot

Three things only appear below the shoulders, and all three matter when someone else has to draw or recognize your character.

• Silhouette. A long skirt, a cape or a tail changes the outline. Strong characters are recognizable from their outline alone.
• Outfit logic. Shoes and trousers say where a character lives and what they do all day.
• Color balance. A palette that works on a face can look top-heavy on a whole figure. You only see that in full body.

A quick order for building outfits

Pick the top first, because it carries the most color. Then choose a bottom that is either much darker or much lighter than the top. Matching mid-tones blur together. Shoes should repeat a color already used, usually the darkest one. Finish with the Detail color on a tie, stripe or sticker so the accent appears at least twice.

The Dress and the Tunic cover the hips on their own. Set Bottom to None or Leggings under them.

Making a reference sheet from the download

Choose Transparent in the Background tab and download. The file is 1200 x 1800 pixels with a clear background, which drops straight onto a reference sheet next to color swatches and notes. For a matching avatar, press PFP and download the square crop of the same character.
