Agreement

These terms apply to ocmakerstudio.com and every page on it (the "site"), run by OC Maker Studio ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The service

The site offers free tools for making original characters and profile pictures in your browser, along with guides about character design. You do not need an account. We may add, change or remove tools, parts and pages at any time.

What you can do with your images

Images you create with the maker belong to you to use. You may use them:

• For personal purposes, such as profile pictures, roleplay profiles and character sheets.
• For commercial purposes, such as stream branding, book covers, games and merchandise.
• With edits. You may crop, recolor, draw over or combine the images.

Credit is welcome but not required. A link to ocmakerstudio.com is the nicest way to say thanks.

The individual part drawings are used in many people's characters, so you cannot claim exclusive rights over a part itself or stop others from making similar characters with the same parts.

Photos you crop

The crop tools work on photos you choose from your own device, and those photos never leave it. You are responsible for having the right to use any photo you crop, especially photos of other people.

What is not allowed

• Reselling or redistributing the maker itself, or its part artwork as an asset pack or as a competing maker.
• Copying the site's code, design or text to build another website.
• Presenting the site or your images as official Picrew content, or as official content of any game, show or brand named on the site.
• Using the images in ways that break the law, harass or impersonate other people, or infringe someone else's rights.
• Trying to disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests or get around its security.

Our content

The site's code, part artwork, design and written content belong to OC Maker Studio, except for the rights you receive in your own images as described above. You may quote short parts of our guides with a link back to the page.

Third-party names and fan content

Some pages name games, shows and other franchises so that fans can find a maker for their kind of character. Those names and characters belong to their owners, who do not endorse this site. If you make a character based on someone else's franchise, you are responsible for respecting that owner's rules about fan content, especially before selling anything.

Relationship to Picrew

Picrew is a service of TetraChroma Inc. This site is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Picrew or TetraChroma Inc. The name is used only to describe the kind of tool this is.

Advertising and links

Pages may show ads from third parties such as Google AdSense and may link to other websites. We do not control those ads or sites and are not responsible for their content, products or practices. Your dealings with advertisers are between you and them.

No warranty

The site is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, free of errors, or that saved characters will always be kept by your browser. Keep a downloaded PNG or a copied link of any character you care about.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, OC Maker Studio is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the site or your inability to use it. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply.

Translations

These terms are also offered in other languages. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.
