Furry Picrew Maker

This maker builds kemonomimi characters: a humanoid face and body with animal ears, a tail and a few animal details. It is the style most furry makers on Picrew use for icons, because it keeps expressions easy to read.

To be clear about the limits, it does not draw full anthro heads with muzzles. If you need a snout and fur patterns, this is not that tool. If you want a fox boy, a cat girl or a bunny mascot, it is.

Species you can build

The ears set the species, the tail confirms it and the details sell it. Ears and tails follow your hair color, so one color change recolors the whole animal.

• Cat: Cat ears, Cat tail, Whiskers, Cat mouth or Fang, Sharp eyes.
• Fox: Fox ears with dark tips, Fox tail with a white tip, orange or silver fur color.
• Bunny: Bunny ears, Bunny tail, Round or Sparkle eyes, a soft pastel palette.
• Bear: Bear ears, Thick brows, Dot eyes, brown or cream fur color.
• Wolf or dog: Fox ears in grey or brown, Fox tail, Fang and Angry or Soft brows.

Details that make it read as an animal

The Whiskers option in Details swaps the small human nose for an animal nose and adds whisker lines. Combine it with Fang or Cat mouth for the strongest effect. Sharp eyes have slit pupils that suit cats and foxes. For a gentler herbivore look, use Dot or Round eyes and remove the fang.

Skin tone can be anything. A natural skin tone gives the classic animal-eared human. Matching the skin color to the fur color pushes the character closer to a full fursona.

Turning it into a fursona reference

A basic reference needs a front view and a color list. Download the full body image with a Transparent background, then list the colors you used for fur, eyes and accents next to it. That is enough for an artist to draw your character consistently.
