Chibi Character Maker: Your original character

Chibi Character Maker

A chibi version of a character you already have. Keep the hair, colors and outfit, shrink the proportions.

Artists make chibi versions of their characters for fun, for merchandise and for comic relief. The serious swordsman becomes a small angry bean. The idea is to keep everything that identifies the character and simplify the rest.

This page is for that job. Bring a character you already know, your own OC or a concept from a story, and rebuild them here in chibi proportions.

What to keep and what to drop

A chibi has room for only a few details. Choose carefully.

  • Keep the hair shape and color. It is the main identifier.
  • Keep one outfit piece. The coat, the scarf or the hat that people associate with the character.
  • Keep the eye color and the mood. A stern character stays stern, which is funnier when they are tiny.
  • Drop the small stuff. Patterns, jewelry and layered accessories vanish at this size.

Cool characters make the best chibis

The contrast is the appeal. A villain with Sharp eyes, a Smirk and a Cape looks ridiculous and charming at chibi size. Resist softening the face. Keep the Angry brows and the dark palette and let the proportions do the work.

A set for the whole cast

Chibi sets are popular as stickers and as profile pictures for a friend group who each take one character. Build each cast member here with the same background color so the set matches, and use the PFP crop for square icons. The chibi maker page has more on stickers and printing.
