Demon Slayer OC Maker

Demon Slayer characters are easy to tell apart because each one is built on a pattern and a color. The uniform is the same for every slayer. What changes is the haori worn over it, the hair, and the color of the blade. An OC needs the same three anchors.

The maker opens on the Top tab with the Kimono selected. Decide first whether you are making a slayer or a demon, since the two are designed in opposite directions.

Designing a slayer

Start from the breathing style. It decides almost everything else.

• Breathing style: an element or natural force. Water, flame, thunder, wind, stone, or one you invent.
• Colors: take them from the element. A mist user wears pale greys and teals. A flame user wears red and gold.
• Blade color: the sword takes on a color matched to its owner. Use your Detail color for it and repeat it on the sash.
• Hair: two-tone hair is common in the series. Suggest it with a strong hair color and a contrasting accessory.

Designing a demon

Demons keep a human shape with something wrong in it. Use Sharp eyes in an unnatural color, a Fang, and Horns from Headwear. Pale or grey skin fits, and the Star sticker or a Scar can stand in for facial markings. Dress them in a Kimono or Dress from an older era. A demon also needs a Blood Demon Art, a single supernatural power to write into the profile.

Rank and backstory

Slayers rise through ranks, with the strongest holding the title of Hashira. Most OCs sit somewhere in the middle, which leaves room to grow. Add the reason they joined the Corps. In this story that reason is nearly always a loss, and it is what gives the character weight.
